Todd Faring’s life is falling apart. He’s divorced, drowning in debt, and stuck in a dead-end job. When he finds a doorway to another dimension hidden in his closet, his first thought is that he finally lost his mind. Beyond it lies a world hidden behind the reality we know: the Backrooms.
The Backrooms are a lawless place where people go to do things they don’t want others to see. The first level is mostly safe, but exploring deeper…that is where the monsters are.
Going deeper is a suicide mission. One that Todd never expected to undertake. But when given an opportunity to change his life, he can’t refuse. His debt will be erased, and he’ll come out with enough cash to rebuild his life. All he has to do is go deeper than anyone has ever gone before.
That is…if the Backrooms let him survive long enough to claim it.

Amanda Collier grew up in rural Southeastern Oklahoma, where all the roads are dirt and the closest neighbors are cattle. She always thought the land was haunted, probably because there was a Native American graveyard in the middle of the pasture.
Growing up in the country, away from lights and civilization, she has always had a healthy fear of what goes bump in the night.
